My God in Heaven, it is no dream, D.C. Meet Your Small-Format Target Store

3505 Connecticut Ave, NW

The small format Targets have soft opened (with great fanfare and ribbon cuttings last night) in Cleveland Park and Shepherd Park. I stopped by Cleveland Park’s and like a moth to a flame I was guided to the glowing glory that is Target.

So basically you go down the escalators and to the right is a grocery:

And there is milk, oh yes, there is milk:

And so much more. Then you go to the left and you find non food Target:

And there are pillows:

And my God the candle selection will make you weep with possibility:

Zebra candle too:

And, oddly, beef jerky at nearly every other turn:

And socks, did I mention the socks? Socks flowing like the mighty Potomac in June:

Water bottles galore:

While there is no pharmacy, you can still get your Zyrtec:

Go Nats and CAPS!!

From the Mayor’s Office:

“Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser joined Target executives to welcome two small-format Target stores opening this week in the District of Columbia at 7828 Georgia Avenue NW in Shepherd Park, Ward 4 and at 3505 Connecticut Ave. NW in Cleveland Park, Ward 3.

“We are excited to welcome two new Targets to the District, creating more neighborhood retail options and quality jobs for our residents,” said Mayor Muriel Bowser. “We look forward to Target becoming an engaged business and community partner in the Shepherd Park and Cleveland Park neighborhoods and working with us to create economic opportunities as our city continues to grow.”

Mayor Bowser, joined by Ward 4 Councilmember Brandon Todd, today participated in a store preview and ribbon cutting at the Shepherd Park store in advance of the grand openings on April 7 of both new stores. The approximately 25,000-square-foot Cleveland Park store and 31,000-square-foot Shepherd Park store will become the retailer’s second and third stores in the District – the existing store is located in Columbia Heights at 3100 14th St NW.

“Target is excited to open the doors to two new stores in D.C. this week, serving guests within the Shepherd Park and Cleveland Park communities and beyond. Already, we’ve received a warm welcome from the local neighborhoods, and our more than 100 new team members are ready to bring an easy and convenient shopping experience to area residents,” said Jason Ramey, D.C. district senior director, Target.

Target has announced plans for two other stores in the District – in Tenleytown and Ivy City – that are projected to open next year.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
