“How is this horse’s ass award nominee still in shambles 6.5 years later?”

2329 Champlain Street, NW

“Dear PoPville,

Just a bit mind-numbing considering all the development on that block during the past 20 years. And that property giving off a boarded-up vibe for much of that time.

Must be nice to have the equity to hold out for that ultra pay day. Or to be able to take advantage of lax regulations and overly permissive tax write-offs.

Believe it or not, those PN Hoffman developments used to be parking lots with chain link fences.

Somehow, those two, albeit huge, developments managed to be the only new, from ground up, construction for almost 15 years. That’s probably wrong, but it’s not far off.

Whoever owns that plot missed the crazy ’00-’06 tripling that was happening across the north of Florida Ave neighborhoods.

The backstory is what I’m interested in.

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
