Today’s Rental “is a well-furnished, renovated street level apartment”

This rental is located at 1824 9th Street, NW. The Craigslist ad says:

“$3850 / 2br – 1110ft2 – Modern Three-Level Condo with Big Yard.

A spacious two-bedroom triplex in the heart of Shaw/Old City, just south of historic U St. The location is prime; two blocks from the Shaw/Howard Metro (green/yellow) and a short walk to dozens of restaurants, shops, bars, concert venues (e.g. 930 Club, Lincoln Theater, U Street Music Hall, Howard Theater), and a Landmark movie theater. It’s a 10/15 minute walk to the Convention Center, a Giant and a Trader Joe’s. Shaw is a tremendously convenient/accessible/walkable neighborhood. In fact, the WalkScore here is 98! The space gets great light and has a lot of character, i.e. artwork and unique nooks and crannies to get creative. The massive backyard with a brand new composite deck and steel-enforced gate is my favorite room.

This is a well-furnished, renovated street level apartment in a two-unit historic DC row house. All fixtures and almost every floor has been updated. The basement can be a second bedroom or office/tv room hideaway. Willing to talk about putting a bed in the basement if you want it to be a second bedroom.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
