“Any chance some folks with these signs could explain their objections?”

“Dear PoPville,

I know you posted the sign on the right before, but I don’t believe the comments requested the reasons for the objections to this building. The only place I see these signs are at the houses directly surrounding the Masonic Temple lot. Are there any real objections to this besides just not wanting an open lot built on (classic NIMBYism)?

The argument that it is out of character to the neighborhood doesn’t cut it, given comparable heights nearby on 16th and 14th Streets. I was told – but not aware of facts – that decades ago the Masonic Temple made assurances to the city this lot would not be built on. Any facts to that? Finally, I find the use of the term “Luxury Apartments” amusing – it seems to be an attempt by these folks living in million dollar (minimum) houses to interject some classism into their fight (as if they would be fine with moderately-priced apartments). Any chance some folks with these signs could explain their objections?”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
