On the brunch front, new dishes + drinks include:

Blueberry & Ricotta Waffles with bourbon maple syrup, lemon zest and fresh fruit ($14)
Fried Green Tomato Benedict with Pecorino Romano cheese, hollandaise, English muffin, poached eggs and mixed green salad ($14)
Deviled Eggs ($5) with shishito pepper pickle relish and turmeric ($5)
Hot Toddy with Whiskey, Honey, Ginger, Lemon, Blood Orange ($11)
English Knight with Gin, St. Germain, Grapefruit Juice, Fresh Lemon ($11)
Irish Coffee with Irish Whiskey, Zeke’s Coffee, sugar in the raw and whipped cream ($12)
Standbys like the Tony’s Breakfast Club (French toast stuffed with Applewood bacon, Taylor Pork roll, cheddar eggs, dijon maple syrup and mixed greens $14) and the Brookland Burrito remain on the menu alongside the four different types of bloody marys, mimosas, bellinis and “Brookland Bubbly” cocktail with prosecco and house-made syrups.

On the late night menu, new items include:
Smoked Jumbo Wings with spicy mumbo sauce, creamy house ranch, carrots and celery ($14)
Salmon Patty Melt with mozzarella cheese, sliced roma tomato, chipotle mayo and cheesy grits ($12)
Turkey Panini with goat cheese, cucumber, sundried tomato, pesto spread, creamy vinaigrette dipping sauce and hand cut chips ($14)”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
