Today’s Rental is a Room in a Bloomingdale Row House

1st-and-t-st-nw

This rental is located at 1st and T Street, NW. The Craigslist ad says:

“$1025 Roommate for 3 BR/2.5 bath Bloomingdale rowhouse

We have a room opening up in our warm, furnished rowhouse starting mid-February (earlier move in may be possible). We’re hoping to live with someone who’s sticking around for a year.

The two other roommates are in their mid-twenties/early-thirties (both female). One is from California, has lived in D.C. for 12 years and travels often for work. The other is a more recent Midwestern transplant who works for a media org and watches just about everything on all the TV streaming services. We’re tidy, friendly and enjoy spending time with each other, while having friends of our own.

The open room is large enough (can provide dimensions) to fit a queen size bed, dresser and other furniture (bookshelves, benches, ect). It has ample closet space and a window that lets in a good amount of light. This room shares a full bathroom with another roommate.

Rent is $1025/month, utilities not included, but they rarely run over $50/month. The house has a washer/dryer in unit with the possibility of a parking spot. Our landlord lives in the garden unit and is responsive and helpful.

If you’re interested in checking out the house, send us an email with some info about yourself and any questions. We’ll set up a time to meet and chat.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
