Hill East houses first broke the $500,000. price point in 2004, and $600,000. in 2005, when DC was on an aggressive price trajectory. The area saw $700,000. for the first time in 2006.

In the 2008 Recession-era market, no houses in that part of the neighborhood settled over $600,000. The $700,000.+ price point did not re-appear until 2011. Prices have been steadily increasing since that time.

Home prices in Hill East still range quite a bit depending on size and condition. There are eleven actively listed fee simple houses spanning from $599,000. to $1,399,990..

The listing agents for this sale were Ty Voyles and Tom Kavanagh with Fulcrum Property Group affiliated with Keller Williams Capital Properties (per disclosure above, the same brokerage as the writer). Dana Zalowski, with McEnearney Associates, Inc., assisted the Buyer.
