As was noted in the comments to the original Good Deal or Not post, per a Washington Post article, the subject was originally a Sears kit home and, until now, was owned by the same family since it was built in 1929.

Despite relying on street parking, the undeniably charming house sold six figures above list price. Although it may seem like every house that gets listed in Cleveland Park sells above asking, the average list to sold price ratio for that neighborhood for the 21 detached homes sold so far in 2016 is 98.09% (or slightly below list). $1,250,000. is the amount paid for the least expensive detached home in Cleveland Park in 2016, where median price is currently at $1,895,000.

While it might seem like the housing stock in this part of town is dominated by detached sales, there have been 93 condo and co-op sales in Cleveland Park so far this year. These ranged from a $195,000. studio to a $669,000. three bedroom unit.

The listing agents for this sale were Christie-Anne Weiss and Christopher Ritzert affiliated with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. Michael Brennan, also with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, assisted the Buyer.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
