Sellers in DC pay real estate agents over $800 per hour in commissions. That’s more than most doctors and lawyers, and for a lot less work.

Let’s break down the numbers. In D.C. the median home value is $550,000. With the 6% that agents take for every sale, that’s $33,000 directly out of your pocket when you sell your home.

Here’s how the process looks for most people. After deciding to sell that townhouse or condo, you look at a few new houses online and assume the first step is to call a real estate agent. And they tell you that you’d never be capable of selling your home without an agent.

But you can sell your home without an agent and put thousands of dollars back in your pocket. In fact, many homeowners already do, and it just got easier.

Enter Homezen – an online platform and team of experts that helps you sell your home without an agent, saving you $15,000 – $35,000 in the process.

Unlike real estate agents, Homezen helps you sell your home without the high price tag. They walk you through each step, with helpful tips, tools and support. Homezen helps you decide your sales price, get your home ready to sell and lists your home on the major websites buyers use. They even send out a professional photographer to take great photos, give you all the legal paperwork you need, and are there for you through closing.

Now the only question is, what are you going to do with all the money you saved?

Contact Homezen today.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
