“Indique Launches Weekday Happy Hour Offering Spice-Infused Cocktails & Street Food-Inspired Bar Bites
Beginning on Monday, July 18th – just in time to give devout DC area happy hour goers a fresh new spice-infused addition to their post-work libation line-up – celebrated modern Indian restaurant Indique – known for its creative modern Indian cuisine blending classic Indian flavors and ingredients with a contemporary twist thanks to partners Executive Chef K.N. Vinod and Surfy Rahman – is launching their new weekday happy hour.
Available Monday through Friday from 4:30PM to 6:30PM at the bar and on the patio, happy hour goers will have the option of enjoying a selection of beers, wines, handcrafted spice-infused house cocktails, a punch of the day, and a playful selection of street food-inspired bites at Indique such as Masala Peanuts, Vegetable Samosa Chaat, Spiced Beef Appam, and Paneer Paratha Tacos just to name a few. Additionally, Indique will be offering one complimentary bar snack for guests partaking in happy hour specials including their Masala Naan Chips. The large flat screen TV in the bar area will also begin airing popular sporting events including the Olympics later this summer.
Indique recently underwent a refresh and relaunched to the public offering completely revamped F&B menus, renovations featuring a refreshed look including new handcrafted artwork throughout the interior, and a one-of-a-kind new beverage program featuring handcrafted spice-infused cocktails as a result of bringing DC-based mixtress and cocktail consultant Carlie Steiner of Stir Bartending Co. on board.
Indique is open seven days a week – Monday through Thursday 5:30PM – 10:30PM, Friday Noon – 3:00PM, and 5:30PM – 11:00PM, Saturday Noon – 3:00PM, and 5:30PM – 11:00PM, and Sunday 11:00AM – 3:00PM, and 5:30PM – 10:30PM. Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
