Tenleytown, Adams Morgan and now Brookland!

From a press release:

“Annie’s Ace Hardware-Brookland announces its Grand Opening on April 1, 2, and 3, 2016, with a full schedule of product demonstrations, red-hot buys, raffle items, and free giveaways. The Brookland store is the second Annie’s Ace Hardware, and will follow the tradition of excellent customer service and neighborhood engagement set by the original Annie’s Ace Hardware-Petworth.
The 7,400 square-foot Annie’s Ace Hardware-Brookland store is packed with thousands of essential products and supplies from the most respected brands and bestselling items in the home improvement marketplace, including Benjamin Moore paints, Weber grills, Mrs. Meyer’s earth-friendly cleaning products, a complete line of canning supplies, Craftsman tools, and many other premium products. In addition, Annie’s has a 1,000 square-foot garden center featuring locally grown annuals, herbs and vegetable plants, mulch, popular and locally sourced soil conditioners LeafGro and Chesapeake Compost, and much, much more.

On Friday, April 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., the store is hosting a Benjamin Moore wine and cheese party. Representatives of the Benjamin Moore paint company will provide tips on paint, surface preparation, and application. And while guests enjoy wine and cheese, Lauri Hafvenstein, professional colorist and long-time employee of Annie’s Ace Hardware, will be available to discuss paint color selection. Friday night’s attendees can enter to win four gallons of Regal Select paint (value $220.)

Saturday, April 2, is packed with exciting demonstrations, opportunities to win prizes, as well as lots of terrific deals. The first 50 customers will receive a “swag” bag with gifts from Mrs. Myers, Blue Q, Design International, and more. Tubby Bollinger, aka “Mr. Weber” will be grilling up free hotdogs on a Weber Performer Grill from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The grill (value $299) will be raffled off on Sunday. Tubby will be available to answer questions about the extensive line of Weber gas and charcoal grills available at Annie’s Ace Hardware. Customers will also have the opportunity to discuss their upcoming paint projects with a representative from Clark & Kensington/Valspar paint from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. And there may be a “surprise” visit from Mayor Muriel Bowser!

On Sunday, April 3, the first 200 customers will receive a free herb plant for their garden. Mike Sutton, lead garden associate at Annie’s Ace Hardware-Brookland, will discuss a variety of mosquito prevention products and techniques. In addition, bring your plant and pest questions for the staff of Owl’s Nest Farm, specialists in natural and organic growing methods.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
