7th and Q Street, NW

From a press release:

“Dacha Beer Garden is back March 8 for a whole new season of sunshine and delicious beers on tap served by your favorite staff, a few new faces, and new beverages to boot!

This year, we have broadened our outstanding beer selection: Radeberger Pilsner – the first Pilsner ever brewed in Germany in 1872–and Ommegang Hennipin – a top-notch American Saison – to name a few. On the District front, Atlas Brew Works will join DC Brau in our coveted local beer lineup.

“Atlas is thrilled to be a part of such a great neighborhood hangout and community-centric force as Dacha. As a craft brewery who call the District home, we really jump at the chance to partner with other local business and are excited to drink some liters of Rowdy out in the sunshine!” said Justin Cox, Atlas Brew Works’ Founder & CEO.

Dacha strives to educate its customers about beer. To up the game, we are excited to introduce Dacha Beer Club – a free reward-based program. Club members will work their way toward prizes ranging from free appetizers to brewery tours and parties for friends on Dacha’s tab. Beer Club will meet every Wednesday – our traditional release day for new, rare, and exciting beers. To find out more about Beer Club, visit dachadc.com.

Dacha’s first Beer Club of the season will be on March 9 and will feature Atlas’s very limited edition Town & Country, a Belgian strong Ale aged in local red wine barrels.

And Yes, Dacha has wines!

Mariam ‘Raz’ Razavi is Dacha’s new wine concierge. Raz brings over 15 years in the Mid-Atlantic States of successful wine consulting, promotion, brokerage, and menu implementation.

“My goal with implementing the wine programs is for everyone to feel comfortable tasting and trying new wines while pairing them with unique menu items or simply sipping while mingling with friends,” explains Raz.

Raz takes pride in introducing rarely tasted international gems to the Dacha wine list. Her selections pair perfectly with our new Spring/Summer menu. These wines are not available at local grocery stores but can only be purchased at select retail shops care of Wines By Raz.

Expect to see Provencal rosé, Alsacian Cremant rosé, Bordeaux and Pouilly Fuisse, Spanish Albariño, and Portugese Vihno Verde, as well as unique Rothschild Argentinian gems. Monday Happy Hour will also feature half priced bottles of these fabulous wines curated by Raz.

Cocktail Time!

As we have grown and gotten to know our customers, we realized that not everyone is a beer or wine drinker, no matter how delicious the Vitus. So we’ve partnered with the talented Julia Hurst, of Passenger and Hogo fame, to add a small but amazing selection of signature cocktails. Says Hurst, “I was inspired by drinking outside! I wanted to create cocktails with bright, refreshing flavors that would be fun to sip on as the weather warms up. I also had fun playing around with herbal flavors as a reference to all the plants and greenery around us in the beer garden.”

Enough about the booze, what about the food?

DBG 2016 Menu (

Dacha Beer Garden is excited to welcome talented chef Quinten Frye. Chef Quinten is a James Beard Award Semi-Finalist for Rising Star Chef of the Year and Hawaii Rising Star Chef for Sustainability, as well as recipient of Hawaii’s “Best New Restaurant” of 2012.

Chef Quinten brings his passions and a fresh new vision to the Dacha menu striving to make each meticulously prepared dish worthy of the highest praise – seconds. Buckets of Mussels in a hefeweizen broth, a half-pound beef burger, and a seasonal Chef’s Board with locally-sourced products are just a few exciting additions that are sure to make your mouth water.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
