Eva – City Dogs Rescue
Eva is an 11-year old lab mix from City Dogs Rescue.   Eva is eager to be your companion.  She’s very loyal and wants to be wherever you are.  She’s got plenty of energy despite her age.  She gets along with other pups and is very gentle.  You can apply to adopt Eva or any of our available dogs on our adoption page, apply to foster one of our pups here, or meet some of our pups at one of our upcoming events!

Jewel – Tails High, Inc.

Jewel is quite the jewel!  An adorable, friendly 2-year old tabby from Tails High, Inc., she loves to be near her people and will sit next to you on the couch or curl up next to the computer and demand to be petted.  She loves to play tag with other cats and gets along well with dogs.  And…just like a dog, she even wags her tail when she’s happy!  If you would like to adopt Jewel, please complete our adoption application on our website.  You can also visit us at one of our upcoming events!

Oreo – Rural Dog Rescue

Oreo is a 3-year old lab/hound mix from Rural Dog Rescue.  This handsome young pup is sure ready for Christmas, and I’m sure you can guess what he might have asked Santa for this year!  This delightful, energetic boy loves people and playing.  He would make a great family pup and would love to find one of his own.  If you would like to adopt Oreo, or any of our animals, by sending the adoption application here.  To foster, please send the foster application here.  Oreo regularly attends adoption events held every Saturday at Howl to the Chief from noon until 3pm.

Boomer – Homeward Trails Animal Rescue

Boomer is a young 3-year old DMH black cat from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue..  He is equally curious and playful – loves running and batting at hanging toys and jumping around.  He likes to pounce in a very playful way and enjoys his calm moments too, sleeping in his cat tree or with his special person.  Endearing and sweet, he likes to strokes your cheek with his paws when, loves to be petted, purrs, and comes when called.  If you think Boomer would be a good fit for your home, please fill out our cat adoption questionnaire available here.  You can also meet some of our adoptable animals at one of our events!

Nellie – Lucky Dog Animal Rescue
Sweet as can be, Nellie is a 2-3 year old shepherd mix from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.  This beautiful girl is very dog-friendly and loves to play with her pup friends and gets along well with cats too!  A country gal, Nellie can be a bit shy and would love to have another pup sibling to help show her the ropes and help her feel at home.  Nellie would love to be your new best friend – if she would be a good forever fit, please contact Joanne.  We have many adoptable animals, so feel free come check us out at one of our events!

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
