“Mike & Patrick’s Brookland Toys For Tots Toy Drive
Brookland Artspace Lofts
3305 8th Street Northeast
December 6th, 2013
8:00 pm – 11:55 pm

Patrick and I are happy to announce our 2nd Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive! We started last year as a small gathering at our home in Chancellor’s Row to provide an opportunity to meet the new Chancellor’s Row neighbors. It was a fun event, and we collected over 60 toys for donation.

This year we are teaming up with the Brookland Artspace Lofts!
Come out and celebrate, meet your neighbors and help bring joy to the children of Washington DC! Please dress casual/festive!

There will be an open bar (beer, wine, punch, and soft drinks) with light fare. Local artists and musicians will be showing their artwork and entertaining. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy which will be collected for the children of Washington DC.

Tickets go on sale today and can be purchased at the following link.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
