“Dear PoPville,
The never-ending saga of the Folger Park restoration continues. Today (Wed.), they are ripping up the asphalt that was recently installed to replace the old crushed stone paths. Will the Park ever re-open?”

“National Park Service rehabilitating Folger Park
Construction to start early March
Date: February 27, 2025
WASHINGTON — The National Park Service will start work to rehabilitate Folger Park this spring. Construction will begin March 3 and is expected to be completed in winter 2025. The park will be closed during construction.
The project will repair the historic walkways and plaza, repair and install benches, and restore plaza vegetation. These improvements will enhance the historic character of the park and provide needed improvements while ensuring the public can continue to enjoy the park for years to come.
Folger Park, one of the largest parks in Capitol Hill, is managed by National Capital Parks – East.”
STAY TUNED.
