I’m wondering if anyone else saw this: I just got an email from Free2Move stating that the “home area” is updated. They sure weren’t lying: it looks like you can’t park and end your trip anywhere north of Taylor St, and that’s only a brief bit in Petworth. Everywhere else is much farther south, and Georgetown/Glover Park and parts north look totally cut off for the most part.
I live near Ft. Totten and I’m basically screwed unless I keep the car for a day and return it in the newly-designated area, which is ridiculous.
I don’t use Free2Move a lot anymore, but it’s been useful to get to/from the mechanic when I have to get my car serviced. I’m curious whether anyone has given them feedback, because cutting out the vast majority of NW and NE DC as drop-off spots seems short-sighted at best.

This seems to be pretty much redlining based on place of residence (protected trait under DC Human Rights Act). Why should certain Ward 8 residents have to pay a different fee than other Ward 3 residents. Thoughts?”
