MASTIHA Taverna Still Open in Union Market!

“Dear PoPville,

Unfortunately, our business has hit an unexpected pause after a devastating fire in a neighboring unit of our commercial kitchen complex. While our kitchen wasn’t directly damaged, we’re waiting on remediation before we can return to production—a process that’s already been ongoing for a month and could still take several more weeks or even months.

As a result, we’ve had to pause our farmers market and wholesale operations. Right now, our focus is our shop inside Union Market, and we’d love to help spread the word that we’re still here.

Our menu features authentic Greek pitas filled with family-recipe favorites like chicken souvlaki, Greek meatballs, plus vegetarian options including mushroom and halloumi. We also offer our handmade pastries and savory phyllo pies, frozen grab-and-go items, and a thoughtfully curated Greek pantry featuring independent Greek olive oils, wines, salts, jams, pickled specialties, and more.

One thing we’d especially appreciate is helping people realize we’re inside the Union Market food hall, along the back wall — look for our blue sign. We want to make sure people know we’re here and discover everything we have to offer.”
