I got wiped out on my bike this (Wednesday) morning at about 8:30am by a silver SUV with Virginia plates on the corner of 16th Street NW and Belmont Street NW, and the driver didn’t stop!
They were driving northbound up the hill and turned left across the traffic onto Belmont and I guess just didn’t see me coming down the southbound bus/bike lane. A bit bashed up, but it could have been a lot worse! Accidents happen, but we should all stop and sort it out when they do rather than fleeing the scene. Wild!”
