Thanks to a ymc for sending: “The window cling just came down on the future Cafe Unido in Buzzard Point. I think it looks alright. The receptionist in the building next door said it’s supposed to open June 27 🤞.”
Have a peek:

“Panama has the best coffee in the world for two reasons.
The first is its unique geography: volcanic soil, high altitude, stable microclimates, cool breezes, and light rainfall throughout much of the year. Coffee grows under natural shade, developing exceptional complexity and sweetness.
The second is its focus on quality over volume. Panama produces small quantities but leads in innovation. Producers can focus on experimental processes and refining their lots, creating coffees that can reach prices of up to $30,000 per kilo.
hat economy is reinvested year after year into research, innovation, and better practices. Despite this extraordinary reality, for decades Panamanians didn’t have access to these coffees.
That’s why Café Unido was founded, the country’s first specialty roaster and café, with a mission to democratize Panamanian coffee and educate consumers about their own agricultural treasure. Today, we continue to drive that mission in Panama and in Washington, D.C.”
