“Lots of firetrucks and a few ambulances on Georgia Ave and Randolph down to New Hampshire. Any idea what happened?”
DC Fire and EMS reported:
“Box Alarm 3800 block Georgia Ave NW at the Safeway. Refrigerant leak in rear of store.
Removing people from affected area. Ventilating. Request Hazmat Unit.”
“Update Box Alarm Hazmat incident 3800 block Georgia Ave NW at Safeway. Hazmat Unit is patching refrigerant leak. Ventilation in progress. No illness or injuries associated with leak.”
