“Xenia Greek Hospitality today proudly announces their award winning concept Greco Truly Greek eatery is opening its second location in Washington D.C., and 7th location in the country. The second Greco D.C. location will open on Thursday, April 2 in Union Market District at 1285 4th Street NE, Unit B.

Greco Truly Greek eatery embodies the neighborhood that the owners Demetri Tsolakis and Stefanos Oungrinis grew up in, the stories they heard and the people they love. Greco shares all of their tastes of home. Greco is their “meraki,” the need to remember and create. And there is one way and one way only to do that – their Truly Greek way.

There’s the American version of Greek food—then there’s true blue Greco. Xenia Greek Hospitality has found a delicious way to blend quality and convenience and take Greek street food to a whole new level. Traditional pitas are filled with the highest quality proteins and can be customized with authentic fillings and sauces. Classic Greek sides can complete a feast and Souvlaki skewers make a nourishing snack on the go. Plates and Salads can also be customized for an endless array of Truly Greek combinations. And legendary loukoumades are the perfect way to complete a meal, or give you a sweet pick me up along with Greco’s iconic Greek coffee Frappe. The bountiful menu has allergen friendly options and accommodates dietary preferences with vegan and vegetarian options as well.

“Union Market has this incredible energy — chefs, makers, purveyors, all obsessed with quality,” says Demetri Tsolakis, CEO of Xenia Greek Hospitality. “That’s our kind of neighborhood. We’re honored to join the community and ready to prove that simple food, done right, can stand shoulder to shoulder with anything. We’re excited to bring a little Greek sunshine to D.C. and maybe settle the debate once and for all: yes, fries absolutely belong in a pita.”

The newest Greco fast casual eatery in Union Market District is in a welcoming, bright and airy space just over 1,777 square feet with seating for up to 20. There is a curated selection of specialty imported Greek products for grab and go including: Greco’s private label extra virgin olive oil that is cold pressed from select farms in Sparta, in addition to classic Greek sweets, snacks and Nescafe. Greco will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To celebrate the opening of Greco’s new Union Market location, guests can enjoy $1 pitas on opening day for the first 100 guests. Greco also has an app that is available for iOS and Android and is offering $5 off first time orders with the code TRULY GREEK.

The Greco Truly Greek concept debuted in 2017 on Newbury Street in Boston’s Back Bay.
