“I was outside grilling Saturday evening, when I heard commotion in the alley beside our house and the noise of flapping wings. I saw this hawk land in our tree maybe 10 feet away from me, but that wasn’t all. In its talons, it was carrying a rat that it clearly just nabbed out of the alley (my neighbors’ trash cans are beat up and the rats feast in them).”
