Sabina’s Cafe opened in Takoma – Grand Opening Celebration, Saturday!

6902 4th Street, NW

From Main Street Takoma:

“Sabina’s Cafe is now open at 6902 4th Street, NW. Sabina’s Cafe serves coffee sourced from Ethiopia, roasted in-house and brewed daily, along with a selection of teas and lite bites, including fresh pastries, cookies, avocado toast, hummus toast, mini pancakes and more.

Owner Lidya Demissie is introducing Sabina’s Cafe to share her Ethiopian heritage and evoke the strong feelings of family and connection she finds when enjoying coffee with others. She states that “In Ethiopian culture, coffee is not rushed. It is an experience. It is where people gather, reflect on the week, share stories, laugh, and simply be together.” After stepping away from corporate America, Demissie built Sabina’s Cafe in Takoma to share this history and feeling with others.
