I’ve got a question that I was hoping to get some help on, and might benefit others as well. We’ve always enjoyed going to see the NSO at the Kennedy Center, but since March we haven’t gone back. This Christmas we received some gift certificates from well meaning family members that we don’t know what to do with now. I understand that the money is already spent, but
I can’t bring myself to go back into that building right now. We can’t just wait things out, because the certificates expire in a year. One idea I’ve had is to buy tickets to the NSO so that they can at least get some of their money back, and then just not attend in person. Another is to donate the certificates to a group that takes students to shows, but I wouldn’t know where to start with that. Does anyone have any organizations they recommend, or other ideas for what to do with these gift certificates?”
