DC Holiday Hunt returns—bigger, tastier, and more festive than ever!

Get ready, because DC Holiday Hunt is leveling up for 2025, and we want you to be part of the fun. This citywide scavenger hunt turns supporting small businesses into an adventure, with missions that take you through local shops, restaurants, and neighborhood gems. Every action you complete earns points, and every point gets you closer to winning some truly incredible prizes.

This year, we’re teaming up with the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) to shine a spotlight on the incredible restaurants and bars that make DC’s dining scene so special. You’ll earn points just by going out to eat, trying new spots, and showing some love to your neighborhood favorites during the winter season.

We’re also rolling out a brand-new citywide holiday events calendar so you can discover every festive market, light display, and community celebration happening across the District. From cozy pop-ups to Main Street holiday markets, your winter social calendar is about to be stacked.

And of course, the heart of Holiday Hunt remains the same: exploring and supporting local businesses across DC. Every mission you complete helps lift up small shops, restaurants, cultural landmarks, and community anchors- all while you have a blast collecting points and prizes.

Ten neighborhoods are already on board, each bringing its own personality and set of challenges: Chevy Chase, Cleveland Park, Columbia Heights, Logan Circle, Lower Georgia Avenue, Mount Pleasant, U Street, Friendship Heights, Adams Morgan, and Uptown. Every area offers something different, so you’ll get a totally new experience wherever you go.

This year’s prize pool is stacked with standouts from beloved DC businesses. Score luxe comforts like a $200 Brooklinen robe and towel bundle, treat yourself at Sense with a $100 salon gift card, or unwind with a full month of free yoga from Reunion Hot Yoga. Feeling creative? You might win Merry Pin’s Crafty Box (learn watercolor at home!) or an 8×10 art print from Made by Hibba. Food lovers will be thrilled by gift cards from Federalist Pig, Barrel House Café & Bar, Laredo DC, and a seasonal $80 bouquet from Little Shop of Flowers. And for an unforgettable experience, don’t miss the chance to nab two complimentary tickets to Nellie’s Drag Brunch as well as some of their iconic swag!

With over $3,000 in prizes up for grabs, there’s no better time to explore your city, discover new favorites, and support local. Get out, get festive, and start hunting!
