“Dear PoPville,
I live in Capitol Hill a block or so northeast of Stanton park. We’ve been hearing this consistent unexplained noise the last few months, especially in the morning, and I’m wondering if you’ve gotten any other reports.
The best way I can describe it is that it sounds like we live next to an airport and there’s a jet taking off every 5 minutes.
There’s a consistent “rushing” sound that sounds like an airplane or aircraft hovering over. It comes and goes, primarily in the morning between like 6 and 7:30 am. It’s definitely not a helicopter. And I’ve checked airtraffic maps and there’s no aircraft reported in the area (obviously, since this is restricted air space). Curious if anyone else has mentioned this?”
