From a press release:
“Goodlove, a new cocktail lounge rooted in good music and chic design, is set to open this Friday, Nov. 7 in Washington’s Midtown Center (1100 15th Street NW).
The stylish, intimate bar from Darren Hinds and Executive Chef Lonie Murdock, the team behind Isla, hits a new high note for DC nightlife. An ideal complement to Isla’s elegance, Goodlove is a place for lovers of music, an escapist space where a chic sensibility reigns and the latest beats pour from a custom sound system and fill the room.
The 2,200-square-foot Goodlove is the perfect place to enjoy from happy hour to late night to date night, with small bites from Isla and two cocktail menus
– one featuring perfectly executed Classics, and the other featuring their Goodlove Remixes. A classic Dirty Martini here, for example, features vodka, dry vermouth and olive brine, while its Goodlove Remix counterpart is made with vodka, dry vermouth, sake, tomato brine and a spice tincture. A Hemingway Daiquiri features rum, maraschino liqueur, lime, grapefruit, sugar in its classic form, and the remixed Hemingway Daiquiri features a blend of rhum agricole and pot still rum, cinnamon grapefruit liqueur, maraschino liqueur, lime, grapefruit and lactic acid.

A Love Bites menu complements the cocktails, with small plates such as Plantain Chips with a chili lime sauce, Mac Pie Bites with spiced mornay and parmesan reggiano, and Oysters served with hibiscus granita and scotch bonnet mignonette, as well as Isla’s spectacular menu of elevated Patties, such as the Wagyu Oxtail, served with an incredible fermented mango sauce.

The award-winning Solid Design Creative has given the space a maximalist, theatrical design, with a boldly patterned carpet that beckons the eyes, Jaguar table lamps, fringed accents and a subtle glow coming from seven custom chandeliers custom-commissioned for Goodlove.
Goodlove will be open 4 pm to late Wednesday-Saturday, with happy hour from 4-6 pm nightly.
As the bar’s slogan aptly declares, good music is good music, and Goodlove is good love.”
