“Dear PoPville,
On Sunday, Oct 5th, around 12:30ish pm, I was driving up 9th Street and after crossing over U st, a bicyclist veered out of the protected bike path, into the traffic lane and collided right into my front passenger side car door. I have no idea what they were trying to do, and after pulling over to check on them, I am glad they are ok and we exchanged a few words before their rode off. At first the car seemed to be ok
when I was looking before they rode off but it turned out there is a small dent above the door handle. It’s apparent on the dash cam footage that this was more so one-sided, which was also apparent at the time, my main focus was just on making sure they were ok. The good news, it’s an easy fix, the bad news, it’s gonna cost me $300 out of my savings. I totally understand there is zero incentive for this cyclist to connect with me when I’m looking for some financial contribution from them but I was just hopeful that maybe the universe would let me cash in some karma points on this one. So, to the cyclist, I am glad you are ok, if you see this and feel like being a good person, I’d be forever grateful.”
