On Wednesday we shared the sad news about Shouk closing their remaining two stores.
This morning they sent out their farewell note:
“Dear Shouk Friends,
After nearly a decade of cooking, sharing, and gathering with you, we’ve reached the bittersweet moment of saying goodbye. Shouk has officially closed its doors.
When we opened, our dream was simple but bold:
to change the way people eat by serving plant-based food that was as joyful and satisfying as any meal. Thanks to you, that dream became a living, breathing community.
Your friendship, loyalty, and support gave Shouk its heart. You brought energy to our dining rooms, celebrated milestones with us, and made Shouk a place of connection as much as a place to eat. We are deeply grateful for every visit, every conversation, and every bit of love you shared with us.
Though Shouk is closing, the spirit of what we built together lives on—in the flavors we created, in the choices you continue to make, and in the community we formed.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the Shouk Tribe. We will carry your kindness and support with us, always.
