From a press release:
“Dig Inn, the fast-casual restaurant brand serving seasonal, scratch-cooked comfort food, is continuing its expansion in the Washington, D.C. area with a new location in the West End neighborhood. Dig Inn West End will open on October 22 at 2050 M Street NW. This will be the Northeast-based company’s second fast-casual restaurant in the District. Dig Inn will donate all profits from the West End lunch previews on October 20 and 21 to Martha’s Table—a continuation of the company’s commitment to giving back to nonprofits that focus on eradicating hunger and providing healthy meals to area denizens.
MENU

The fast-growing company is known for its dedication to seasonal, whole foods, and emphasizes familiarity & access to scratch-made meals in an increasingly hectic world. Dig Inn West End will open with the brand’s chef-driven menu of plates, salads, sides, and take-home family dinners, alongside new fall dishes and ingredients. Fall menu highlights include:
Spiced Farro: cinnamon-spiced with candied orange, roasted carrots, and celery.
Chili Lime Brussels: roasted and tossed in sweet chili sauce with basil, mint, and lime— this returning side has acquired a cult-like following.
Homestyle Mashed Potatoes: chunky mashed Yukon potatoes get finished with butter, garlic, and cream.
Sweet Chili Crispy Chicken & Sweet Chili Crispy Tofu: two new proteins served atop mixed greens with dill pickles, garlic aioli, and sweet chili sauce on a bun.
In addition to the fall menu highlights, the newest Dig Inn location will offer a menu of signature Chef’s Specials that include Hot Honey Chicken Bowl with charred chicken, sheet tray carrots, charred broccoli with lemon, Jasper Hill mac and cheese, and side of maple honey sriracha; Kale Caesar Salad with cashew kale caesar, tomatoes & cucumbers, avocado, and a side of breadcrumbs; and the vegan Avo Grain Bowl with farm greens, farro, sheet tray carrots, tomatoes & cucumbers, avocado, and balsamic dressing.
Plus, the new location will also feature à la carte vegetable and protein sides (Marinated Cannellini Beans with Gremolata Herb Sauce, Sheet Tray Carrots, Seared Wild Salmon, and more), large-format “Dig Family Dinner” packages, and “Little Digs” – the brand’s kids’ menu that features miniature plates like the Old Macdonald (herb-roasted chicken breast, mac & cheese, carrots), Mini Classic (charred chicken, brown rice, roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli), and Junior Chef (a build-your-own option with choices of a protein, base, and side). Finally, Dig Inn offers scratch-made Iced Lemon Cake, Flourless Brownie (featuring a sweet potato base), and its classic Chocolate Chip Cookie, finished with sea salt. In addition to its menu of composed plates and salads, guests can “build-your-own” bowls with the choice of any market sides and proteins.
