Maybe you can get some attention to a small but irritating issue. Where Vermont Ave NW ends and leads into the White House grounds there is an access point for bikes at the security kiosk. This access allows bikes to come from the 15th st bike lane, enter PA Ave, and meet up with the NY Ave bike lanes.
For years,
there have been two sets of metal ramps at the kiosk so that you can bike up and over a curb. Some time in the last month it looks like someone drove on the ramps on the South side, and they are crumpled and sharp. It is now very hard and dangerous to bike down the ramp.
How would one even go about getting these ramps replaced? I assume they are under control of the WH or Secret Service. Any ideas? Maybe one of your readers can help?”
