What in the Holy Hell is Going On at H Street’s Parker & Ace DC Veterinary Care

“Dear PoPville,

FYI something super weird going on at Parker & Ace on H St. My pet goes there and we’ve only seen these cryptic instagram posts. I can’t get a refund for the credits. I have on my account. Seems like they are owned by a VC company and who knows something like the funding may have dried up. There are people commenting that their dogs are in the middle of antibiotic regimens and they can’t go for their follow ups. It’s really fucked up. The team there is always so nice but VC ruins everything. I have like $500 in credit there…”

I have gotten so many messages about this bizarre situation at Parker & Ace (501 H Street, NE):

“I’m putting my name on this, Cindy Sanchez, Practice Manager, because I know some of you will want to know who to reach out to. But I’ll be honest with you: I don’t have the answers. I’ve left the comments open because I know you have questions, and my hope is that maybe, just maybe, the people responsible for this will see your words and feel the pressure they’ve avoided.

Unfortunately, due to legal limitations, I can’t name the specific parties who were supposed to support us. What I can say is that those entities claim they don’t know what caused this and no one is taking responsibility.

I am upset. I am heartbroken. I am distraught. And I can say the same for the rest of our clinic team.

We have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this clinic because we believed we could make a difference and I know we did. Every single person in our clinic and on our Teleteam, the ones you know in person or by voice, is the true heart and soul of Parker & Ace. They’ve cared for your pets with every fiber of their being.

As their manager, I can’t give them the answers they deserve. I can’t give them the closure they’ve earned.

And yet, we still show up. Because this work isn’t about money. It never has been. We came into this field knowing it wouldn’t be the most financially rewarding… but the love we have for animals and the bonds we’ve built with you? That’s what’s kept us going.

We’re still here. Still fighting. Still heartbroken but still full of love for your pets.
If we ever return, we will fight like hell to rebuild what was lost.

With all the fight left in me,
Cindy
