“Cathy Yae Chung (owner of Meeps) passed away Wednesday July 16 from health complications.
Very very sad.”

“So saddened to hear this news about Cathy Chung. i met cathy around 2006 and was in awe of her from the jump. her fantastic shop – Meeps in Adams Morgan.
with her impeccable taste,
sharp eyes, and style advice, she could make anyone feel like a million bucks. she could put together the best outfit for anyone’s body…and it would almost always be something you’d never pick for yourself, but as soon as you put it on, it felt like it was meant for you.
i will always remember cathy’s thoughtfulness and generosity; her creativity and her whole-hearted laugh. this is a heartbreaking and immeasurable loss.”
