“Fast-growing fitness franchise JETSET Pilates® is making its D.C. debut with a brand-new studio at Union Market, JETSET Pilates Union Market. Franchise owner and local entrepreneur Sami Siegel has officially signed a lease at 1280 Union ST NE, Washington, DC 20002. Located on the ground floor of Margarite, the new luxury apartment building, bringing the modern, musically driven Pilates experience to the heart of the capital.
The studio is set to open in Fall 2025,
marking an exciting addition to the D.C. fitness scene and another milestone in JETSET’s rapid nationwide and international expansion.
Originally founded in Miami and now boasting over 100 locations in development across the U.S. and Australia, JETSET Pilates is redefining boutique fitness with its signature high-energy, full-body workouts. Combining traditional Pilates principles with seamless, dynamic transitions and resistance-based movements, JETSET’s 50-minute classes are designed for efficiency, intensity, and results.
Siegel, a longtime D.C. resident, brings an impressive blend of experience to her role as owner, operator, and instructor. A former Senate staffer turned marketing executive, she has spent the last eight years in strategic communications roles, including at Bloomberg. Her passion for marketing and movement led her to pursue franchise ownership after discovering JETSET Pilates on social media.
“I was so envious of everyone I saw sharing their JETSET classes on social media and thought it was unfortunate we didn’t have anything like it in D.C. I was a fan before ever stepping inside a studio, and when I was finally able to experience a class on a visit to Miami, it was love at first sight. I fell in love with the look and feel of the studio, the music that transports you, and the ability to modify the workout to whatever level you personally need that day.”
Finding herself craving the JETSET experience back in D.C. and confident she was not alone, Siegel quickly set out to open the city’s first studio.
“When it came to location, there was no question it had to be Union Market. It’s one of the most vibrant, fast-growing parts of the city, filled with energy and style, but it didn’t yet have a studio experience like this. We’re excited to be the first and thrilled to be located at Margarite.”
The 2,452-square-foot studio will feature 15 custom-designed JETSET advanced reformers in a sleek, modern space Siegel describes as powerful yet calming. Consistent with all JETSET studios, the Union Market location will include mood lighting, premium amenities, signature DJ-curated playlists to keep energy levels high throughout every class, and expert instructors trained to deliver a challenging yet accessible workout for all levels.
Excited to welcome the Washington, D.C. community to JETSET Pilates, Siegel will offer a limited number of Founders Unlimited Memberships and Pre-Opening 10-Class Packs, as well as a period of complimentary community previews.”
