“Dear PoPville,

On Saturday March 29th my friend and I took the train from Baltimore to Washington DC to take in the annual cherry blossoms. We had an amazing day taking in all that we could during our 9 hours before catching our train back home. The entire day was a series of events where our timing couldn’t have been better. Despite the huge crowds on this peak weekend, everywhere we went our timing seemed perfect for short waits, best tables and unique fun experiences. Honestly, the day was just magical.

As my friend and I were taking a long walk back to Union Station from the Wharf, I passed a tall handsome man, we made eye contact and both smiled, then exchanged a passing hello. Much to my surprise,

he turned after passing us and engaged me further in conversation. Although we only chatted together for maybe all of 10 minutes there seemed to be something special in the air. We talked about a cup of coffee and the fact that we were on our way to the train station with no extra time left in the day. I really wish I would have asked to exchange numbers because I haven’t stopped thinking about him since. Coincidentally, the day before I headed out to see the cherry blossoms, a colleague commented that I would probably meet someone on the streets of DC and she encouraged me to consider dating in DC with it’s short proximity to Baltimore…and here I was the very next day chatting with this man I literally passed on a sidewalk!

His name is Max, he was incredibly polite not just to me, but also to my friend who got pulled into the conversation when it lasted more than just a few minutes. Max is originally from New York, currently living in Washington DC, but also lived in Baltimore for a short period of time working as a pharmacist. The area that we met was between the Wharf and Union Station in a residential area. When I introduced myself as Kristy, he asked if that was Kristy with a K, I replied yes, and asked if his was Max with an M. There was something sweet and special about the interaction and I wish I could go back and do it again.

If anyone knows Max with an M, if he is interested in that cup of coffee we casually mentioned, I’d love to do it.

Thank you,
Kristy with a K”
