Denizens Brewing Co., known for its approachable, high quality beers and warm hospitality is thrilled to announce the launch of its new food program with award-winning Chef Shannan Troncoso at the helm as Executive Chef. Chef Troncoso joins Denizens with more than 20 years in the restaurant industry and after a decade of operating her own critically acclaimed Washington, DC neighborhood restaurant, Brookland’s Finest.

Denizens’ new American Gastropub menu brings together fresh, seasonal ingredients that complement their wide selection of beers made on site. A large shareable section keeps in the spirit of bringing people together over pints with options for everyone, including gluten free, vegetarian/vegan items, and a kids menu. The new menu will be available in the tap room and for carryout starting Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

The Denizens founders and Chef Troncoso are no strangers, and have been toying with the idea of partnering for almost as long as they have both been in business. Over the last decade they have teamed up on numerous beer dinner pairing menus, collaborated on a joint anniversary beer, and now they’re excited to work together every day to bring that same passion and creativity to the Riverdale Park neighborhood.

We first met Chef Shannan Troncoso more than 10 years ago when we were trying to sell her restaurant Denizens beer. What started as a business relationship quickly grew into a very close friendship over the last decade.
