We witnessed a scary situation on Connecticut Ave in Cleveland Park yesterday (Sunday) around noon. A woman who was loading items into her car was hit by another driver and pinned between them for a very brief period. We called 911 while others offered her comfort until EMS arrived.
I had to get my baby home and generally just didn’t want to gawk, but I was curious if any readers knew if she was ok or if she had suffered more serious injuries. I can’t stop thinking about it and I’m hoping she’s ok.
Really curious if anyone has insights into how it happened and if she is ok. It was hard to tell if her injuries weren’t serious or if she was in shock. It’s just really scary watching the way people drive in the city since Covid and it doesn’t seem like any of DC’s efforts are enough to change behaviors.”
