“Dear PoPville,
I’m hoping someone can help me find my missed connection from the Chicago O’Hare Airport on Sunday, December 30. We were on the same flight from Salt Lake City that had been delayed, and after establishing that we were both headed to DC,
we (apologetically) pushed through the deboarding throngs and ran to make it to our connection. We arrived at the gate only to realize, in a tale as old as time, that he was bound for Dulles and I was bound for DCA. We tragically had not exchanged names and I didn’t have the foresight to address that before parting to find my (correct) gate. He was tall, light brown hair and glasses, wearing a red and black plaid shirt over a white t-shirt; I have long red hair and was wearing a blue sweater. I know he’s a lawyer who moved to the city about a year ago from NYC and spent the holidays in Park City, Utah. It felt like a real meet-cute (date or friend, either way) and I’d love to connect now that we’re both back in DC!”
