Two stories from Sunday night.
1. My wife and I were driving up 16th st to pick up food Sunday evening around 6:20 pm. We were on the corner of fuller St and 16sth at when we noticed a woman with headphones on walking her scooter and a man approach her swinging a thin metal pole towards her.
It looks like she was able to avoid it and he backed off but was following her across the street. We turned down fuller street to parallel their paths and just make sure nothing escalated. The woman got onto her scooter and took off safely but as we were turning away back onto 15th we noticed a woman and a dog on the corner. We weren’t able to see as well as we left but it looks like the man may have tried to swing at them too! We hope everyone was okay!
2. We live near Marie Reed on Florida ave and there was some commotion outside late night around 1030 pm. And a lot of policemen were running around and neighbors came out. I didn’t get the full story but someone was arguing outside a car on v st and then the car pulled away and had apparently hit a police car while doing so. It seemed like the driver had been apprehended around 18th and Florida ave. Never got the full story but hope everyone is okay as well!
