“Dear PoPville,
It took a really long time to build this restaurant at the corner of 18th and California NW, and the restaurant lasted only a very short while. I had one meal there that I thought was pretty poor but didn’t get a chance to give them a second change before they closed. It’s an interesting space architecturally with lots of outside seating in front and in the back, and it should be a natural.
I chatted up a woman who was coming out of it a week or two ago.
She said it had just recently sold and “something really great” was in the offing. She was locking it up behind her, so I figured she knew what she was talking about.
Does anyone know anything more specific?”
Back in September we had heard that the old Alfresco Tap and Grill space would be becoming a sports bar of some sort. Anyone else hearing more details?
