“We’re rehabbing an old tourist kiosk and transforming it into a little pizza and wine gem surrounded by museums and monuments. Bar Americano is right in front of the Air & Space Museum and a quick stroll to the National Gallery, Hirschhorn, etc. So you can fuel up with a latte and pastry before going to an exhibit, or hang out with a glass of wine and a slice afterwards.
All the seating is outdoors and opens up onto the lawn of the National Mall, so it’s a beautiful place to spend time—and there’s lots of open grassy space that’s ideal for picnicking!
As with Catboat, a portion of proceeds goes to the National Park Service.
We’re going to do a soft open Friday-Sunday (10/18 – 10/20), 9am-6pm.”
