M. sends us the sad news yesterday:
“This white oak tree that was once counted as the largest tree in the district.
Late this morning 7/15, neighbors heard a bang and some even felt their houses shake as the tree completely uprooted and collapsed onto the street.
Luckily no one was injured but four cars were destroyed and some nearby homes sustained some damage. Our street is frequented both by pedestrians and drivers as it connects Oregon and Utah Avenues. Scary in particular after Sarah Noah’s tragic death last week.”
