“The Yards Park Canal Basin is anticipated to open this Friday, May 24th for the summer 2024 season. Know before you go, and please be mindful of the below seasonal updates before you splash around with neighbors and friends.
To keep the Yards Park Canal Basin clean and safe throughout the summer, the water features will be closed up to 48 hours on a bi-weekly basis for routine cleaning and maintenance on the following dates:
June 10
June 24
July 8
July 22
August 5
August 19
September 22
To keep yourself and those around you safe while enjoying the water features this summer, all park patrons must abide by the following rules:
No swimming, running, diving, jumping, or roughhousing is allowed in or around the water features
Children younger than 6 years must be accompanied in the water by an adult at all times
Animals are not permitted in the water
No use of water features after sunset
Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty, and patrons should dial 911 if in need of emergency medical service.”
