BREAKING: Update: confirmed, “all foxtrot stores were closing immediately”

1601 Connecticut Ave, NW

Thanks to Michael for sending: “Was just at the Dupont Circle foxtrot when employees lock the doors. They said that they were told that all foxtrot stores were closing immediately and we’re not given any additional information.”

Official word from Foxtrot:

Update from Carly in Adams Morgan: “the tables & chairs were set up outside and lights were on inside, but the doors were locked!”

Update from Victoria in Logan Circle: “Internal repairs” doesn’t feel like a lie”

Update from Ninio in Mount Vernon Square “Confirmed.”

Update from JS in Georgetown.

Mike confirms close in Navy yard.

From Elizabeth: “Foxtrot confirmed closed in Bethesda Row”

From Casey: “Foxtrot closed in Rosslyn”

Back in November we learned that “Foxtrot to merge with Dom’s Kitchen” – STAY TUNED.

UPDATE:

“I am a foxtrot Shift Lead.

We were just told that all stores were closed effective immediately, to lock up and leave.
Our store managers had no idea and were immediately laid off as well. And it seems as though our district managers were all in the dark as well.

They didn’t say why or what happened, they said “sorry, you will all no longer be employed.” They also told us that we should receive an email soon with “next steps”. But no other information has been provided yet.

All of our ordering was cancelled this week and we were all told that this was due to “new ordering processes”. And thus all stores have been working frantically to shuffle product store to store to make sure everyone had what it needed.

I see now that this was just them feeding us lies to avoid telling us we would all soon be out of a job, and they let us race around like rats trying to help each other, knowing they were gonna snuff all of us out.

I don’t know what others are feeling. But I have been in full blown panic all morning because I can’t afford to be without a job, I was struggling as is. I saw your post and thought it would be a good outlet to let others know how what has been done is affecting us employees.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
