“Dear PoPville,

Please help me find this man!

I was stopped on a scooter at New Hampshire and 18th (Tuesday 8/29 at around 9:40 pm) because my friend FaceTimed me for my birthday. You scooted up and joined the convo! Said you were going to Blues Alley??? to meet a friend and that I could join. Sadly I didn’t quite catch the bar name. Let’s scooter to a first date if you are interested and available.”

“To be fair, we didn’t talk much, but I’m going off a smile and hope.

Around 3pm (Wed.) I was packing up to leave Banneker after some laps. The person who was in the chair next to me had just arrived and was unpacking. On my way out I complimented them on their monochromatic swim attire. They responded “thank you” and flashed a great smile. Before I made it out of the building, I turned around and went back to the lap lanes to ask them out, but they had just pushed off the wall and started swimming their own laps as I got close.

Side note, they had Purple Fog EVA Arizona Birkenstocks. A blue and white towel that looked like it was a recent purchase on vacation in Greece (total guess…). Oh and a black swim suit and cap. Black is my favorite absorption of visible light.”

“I am trying to connect with someone who I met with waiting for the S2 or S9 bus in McPherson Square on Monday, August 14th. It was pouring rain and I joked how absolutely ridiculous it was, like a character in a romcom having the worst day ever. I introduced myself as Ian, and I believe your name was Megan? I meant to ask for your number before we parted ways. Would be great to reconnect over a coffee/drink!”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made. The Lost Generation MC was made!

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
