“F1® Arcade is Opening its Second US Venue in Washington D.C.”

From a press release:

F1® Arcade, the world’s first official Formula 1® simulator racing experience to put socializing at its core, announces the opening of its second U.S. venue in the Nation’s Capital. F1® Arcade will bring an experiential aspect to D.C.’s popular Union Market District in Summer 2024 (440 Penn Street NE, Washington DC 20002), joining an already diverse lineup of dining and retail options in the growing Northeast neighborhood. Racers can enjoy unforgettable fun with state-of-the-art racing simulators, all while savoring the globally inspired food and cocktail menu crafted to enhance their visit. Whether a beginner or a pro, there’s a thrilling immersive experience waiting for Washingtonians and visitors through the doors of F1® Arcade.

F1® Arcade’s expansion in the US comes after record-breaking attendance at last season’s FORMULA 1 ARAMCO UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX in Austin and this year’s FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX selling out with 270,000 fans, up 30,000 from 2022. Since the opening of its flagship London venue in late 2022, F1® Arcade has seen more than 8,000 fans and non-fans visiting each week to enjoy competitive socializing at its finest.

The F1® Arcade space, covering 17,500 square feet and a further 1,500 square feet in outdoor space, boasts an enormous feature cocktail bar, several imposing F1®-circuit inspired ceiling chandeliers and vibrant race telemetry wall neons. The D.C. location takes inspiration from the world of Formula 1®, with more than 80 bespoke full-motion racing simulators, designed with world-leading simulator design company Vesaro, in collaboration with the F1® motorsport design team. The concept will bring further excitement to the Union Market District with Watch Party experiences and a weekend DJ series that will create the perfect vibe for guests to escape the ordinary and dive into a world of high octane speed and pure entertainment.

As well as racing, guests can enjoy a late night bar with outstanding menus. F1® inspired drinks include Champagne cocktails, local craft beers from hand selected partners and an imaginative non-alcoholic ‘Designated Driver’ menu. The adrenaline-fueled venue also incorporates a range of cutting-edge tech features that enhance the social gaming experience including the innovative ‘F1® Arcade Hub’ where guests can create personal driver profiles and immerse themselves in a world tailored to their individual preferences and achievements.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
