Shooting Homicide overnight in Adams Morgan Three People Shot, (Two Killed). Later One person shot on U Street


Ontario and Columbia Road, NW

“3D is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the 2500 block of Ontario ST NW. 3 adult male victims were located with critical injuries. Anyone with information can call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.”

“Alert: Shooting investigation in 2500 b/o Ontario Road, NW. Lookout for one B/M wearing White shoes and operating a Blue Mercedes with tag of AC666.”

Update from MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in the 2500 Block of Ontario Road, Northwest.

At approximately 1:01 am, Third District officers responded to the listed location for report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located three adult male shooting victims. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found two of the victims had no signs consistent with life. The victims remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The remaining victim was transported to an area hospital, for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

On Monday, August 7, 2023, the third victim, Vincent Martin, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced.

The decedents have been identified as 34-year-old James Morgan, 30-year-old Jamal Morgan, and 42-year-old Vincent Martin all of Southeast, DC

“3D is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1200 block of U st NW. One adult male victims was located with critical injuries.”

A reader reported: “There were 2 shootings on the 1200 Block of U St. One at 3:45ish and one 45-60 minutes later. The second one is the result of the black tent. The first was on the corner of 12th and U in front of Dukem.”
