Real Estate Fresh Finds: August 23

Real Estate Fresh Finds is a weekly selection of newly-listed properties in the District, brought to you by RLAH Real Estate

Featured Property of the Week: 1525 Q Street NW #2

“Who needs a car when you live between two Dupont Circle and U Street Metro stations and are surrounded by shops and restaurants? This quiet, street level condo has its own entrance and is deceivingly spacious. Morning light streams through the box bay window into the open living/dining room, highlighting new floors installed throughout. The unit has received recent updates to the bathroom floors and fixtures and has been freshly painted throughout to provide a blank slate for your decorating talents. Unlike most D.C. condos, a king-sized bed can fit in either bedroom. Heat, AC, and water are included in the condo fee. There is an abundance of storage throughout the unit, a community bike room and extra storage in the adjacent hall, and a laundry room shared with only Unit #1 to complete the package. Pets are allowed and investors are welcome.”

Other Notable Fresh Listings:

  • The Most Expensive Home of the Week is a renovated 4 BR/3.5 BA semi-detached rowhome in Capitol Hill with an open main level layout boasting large windows, marble counters, a lower level 1 BR/1 BA in-law suite, an expansive private rear patio and off-street parking in the back — all for $2.2M.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
