“Well-Paid Maids Has Been a Lifesaver:” Jesy Shares His Experience as a Cleaner

We recently caught up with Jesy, a member of the Well-Paid Maids team since July 2022. Here’s what he had to say about his experience at the living-wage cleaning company.

Question: Why Well-Paid Maids? What made you most excited?

Jesy: I had a large amount of debt I was struggling to pay off. When I saw the ad for the company and saw that the starting pay was $22 an hour at the time, it was a significant pay increase from my other job, and I decided to apply.

I was excited to hear back when I got the job because it allowed me to start tackling more of my debt.

Question: How does Well-Paid Maids stand out from your previous work experiences?

Jesy: It stands out from the support that I get from the company and the freedom to just work on my own without having a manager try to micromanage everything I do.

Question: What’s your favorite part about working for Well-Paid Maids?

Jesy: The pay is definitely something I am very appreciative of. They also provide mileage reimbursement and a company credit card to help buy supplies or cover garage or street parking.

Question: How has working at Well-Paid Maids benefitted you?

Jesy: Well-Paid Maids has been a lifesaver. I’ve been able to pay off my entire debt, and I’ve started to work on building up an emergency savings. I’m finally in a better financial position.

Question: How do you plan to use your paid time off this year?

Jesy: I’ve already requested to use some of my PTO to attend a wedding with my girlfriend down in Tennessee in June. I’m looking forward to it.

Question: How would you Well-Paid Maids as an employer in 3 words?

Jesy: Supportive, Flexible, High-paying

Question: What’s your go-to cleaning tip?

Jesy: If you’re having trouble with stains on any kitchen appliances, try cleaning paste. I didn’t even know that was a thing, but it’s one of the tools Well-Paid Maids uses to clean, and it helps get rid of stains that will not just go away.

Thank you, Jesy, for sharing your experience with us!
