“EU Open House Showcases European Culture, Food & Music – May 13”

From a press release:

“The embassies of European Union member countries across Washington, DC, open their doors to the public May 13 from 10 AM until 4 PM for the annual EU Open House, celebrating Europe’s diverse cultures, cuisines and traditions.

EU Open House offers visitors a rare first-hand look inside diplomatic buildings and an opportunity to interact with European diplomats, along with lots of authentic food, music and dance performances. Guests can plan their day by visiting www.euopenhouse.org to access a special Google map charting 25 participating locations and get a look at the unique offerings on hand at each.

Visitors to the European Union Delegation (2175 K St, NW) will have the chance to meet EU staff, walk through a history of EU-U.S. affairs, and learn how the EU is working to foster innovative solutions to global challenges as a leader in the “digital decade.”

In solidarity with Ukraine, guests can also visit Ukraine House (2134 Kalorama Rd, NW), which is open as an official Partner Venue of EU Open House this year, to learn more about Ukrainian history and culture.

The day continues at Audi Field at 7:30 PM with European Heritage Night at the Pitch hosted by DC’s historic soccer (or is it football?) club DC United, as they face-off with Nashville Soccer Club. Discounted tickets are available for EU Open House attendees.

The EU Open House is an annual tradition that celebrates Europe Day, which marks the founding of the European Union as we know it today. To learn more, visit www.euopenhouse.org.”
